The Shenandoah Valley is under a Winter Storm Watch Thursday with snow accumulations of 5 inches or more possible by Thursday evening.
Snow will be heavy at times during the day on Thursday, particularly in the afternoon and early-evening hours, according to a report from the National Weather Service.
