Honey Bear to give free hugs in Downtown Staunton

Contributors

Honey Bear, the Staunton Parks and Recreation Department mascot, will be giving free hugs on Wednesday, 12.12.12 at the Statler Tribute Stools on the Wharf parking lot in Downtown Staunton.

The Statler Tribute is across from the Johnson Street Parking Garage and one block from Honey’s favorite store, Pufferbellies. Honey’s Hugfest will happen between the hours of 11am-1pm.

Here’s the best part, Honey will be giving away department T-shirts and bumper stickers to the first 50 folks to drop by and get a hug. The T-shirts are part of a Facebook campaign to thank fans who have supported our department programs, parks and special events.
