ACC Network will tear at our heartstrings ahead of the 2026 UVA Football season opener, with the debut of the TV version of “Tragedy to Triumph,” a NFL Films documentary on the 2022 season, and the Nov. 13 tragedy.
ACCN will broadcast the movie on Friday night at 8 p.m., with a second screening on Saturday at 9 a.m.
You know the story. Three UVA Football players – Devin Chandler, Lavel Davis Jr. and D’Sean Perry – were shot and killed on a bus returning from a drama class field trip on the night of Nov. 13, 2022, a day after a home football game with Pitt.
A fourth player, Mike Hollins, and a UVA Track athlete, Marlee Morgan, were seriously wounded in the shooting.
I didn’t get an advance copy, but, feels to me that this one is a must-watch.
