The Beth Macy congressional campaign is hosting a listening session on Tuesday in Harrisonburg with an open invite to military veterans from the Sixth District.
The event begins at 6 p.m. at AMVETS Post 7, 1340 N. Liberty St., Harrisonburg.
A free meal, soft drinks and water will be available, first come, first served.
Special guests include Rear Admiral John Butler, U.S. Navy (Retired), U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 4 (Retired), 2024 Sixth District congressional candidate Ken Mitchell and U.S. Army veteran and legal advocate Paul Sullivan.
“As the daughter of a U.S. Army veteran of World War II who required significant medical care after returning home, I am deeply aware of the importance of supporting our veterans with policies, resources, and funding. Meeting with veterans in an open forum is an important part of understanding their needs and ensuring they have a voice in the decisions that affect their lives here in Virginia’s Sixth District,” Macy said.
