Zach Lewis (Windsor, Conn.) became the 10th member of the 2012-2013 Fishburne Military School postgrad basketball team to sign a Division I letter of intent, inking a scholarship offer with Canisius.

Lewis is a 6’3″, 180-pound guard from Northwest Catholic High School, where he was a two-time first-team all-state selection.

FMS coach Ed Huckaby said Lewis is “one of the best available guards in the nation.”

“Zach can score the ball as well as provide leadership. He is a terrific defender and competitor. I truly enjoy teaching him,” said Huckaby, who is in his fourth season at Fishburne after serving as a D1 assistant for 11 years.

Lewis had previously made a verbal commitment to Hofstra before deciding to take the postgrad year at Fishburne and reopen his recruiting process.
