UVA Police are asking for help identifying a suspect in a golf cart theft at Scott Stadium on Grounds early Sunday morning.

The golf cart in question ended up being found in the City of Charlottesville, so, seems like we’re talking about somebody who had several too many, then gave up the game.

The suspect in the 5 a.m. Sunday theft is described as a White male, I know, shocker, in his early to mid-20s, again, shocker, with black or dark brown hair.

Our guy was last seen wearing black and white shoes, black pants, a blue rain jacket with a white stripe across the back, a black neck gaiter pulled up over his face, glasses, and a black bicycle helmet.

You’re not going to miss that jacket.

And: a bicycle helmet?

The perp here was seen on surveillance video walking around the premises before locating and then stealing the golf cart, when he then rammed through a gate before fleeing the scene.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or the identity of the suspect is encouraged to contact Detective McKay at (434) 924-7166.
