A grand jury last week returned two additional felony construction fraud charges against Augusta County realtor Amy Argenbright.
Argenbright is set to go to trial in February on the same charge resulting from a July indictment.
The allegation is that the victim paid Argenbright of A&CO., 2002 LLC $366,000 for the construction of a single-family residence in eastern Augusta County. The residence was not finished.
The latest two indictments, returned on Nov. 24, involve separate cases.
Argenbright is accused of feloniously obtaining more than $1,000 from Keldon Koblick, based on a promise to perform construction, removal, repair or improvement of a building, and failing to do so. The time frame mentioned in this indictment is between Feb. 15, 2018, and Aug. 22 of this year.
The second indictment accuses Argenbright of feloniously obtaining more than $1,000 from Candy Burchett and failing to perform construction, removal, repair or improvement of a building. The time frame for this indictment is between June 18, 2024, and Oct. 9, 2025.
A hearing regarding Argenbright’s legal representation on the latest charges is set for Tuesday.
However, Circuit Court Judge Shannon Sherrill had previously set a Dec. 18 hearing to see if Argenbright had secured a lawyer on the first charge.

In November, Argenbright told Sherrill she was attempting to raise money to hire an attorney. She said she had no recent source of income and had lost real estate clients, construction contracts and was facing foreclosure on her home.
The original construction fraud case has been set by Sherrill for a Feb. 26-27 trial.
