Two people are dead after a crash on Interstate 295 southbound in Prince George County this morning.
The double fatal accident occurred at 6:22 a.m. at the 12 mile marker, according to Virginia State Police.
VSP report a tractor trailer had become disabled and was parked on the right emergency shoulder.
A Toyota Camry driving southbound at a high rate of speed went off of the right side of the road and struck the tractor trailer.
Both the driver and passenger in the Camry died at the scene. The names of the victims have not been released.
Speed is being looked at as a factor in the crash.
The driver of the tractor trailer, Keith Holloway, 51, of Philadelphia, has been cited for not using emergency flashers or emergency triangles.
The crash remains under investigation.
