The ICPF is a (semi-) annual student-led conference that brings together students and faculty from Mennonite, Brethren and Quaker colleges across the United States and Canada to examine issues of peace and justice. The conference rotates among host institutions, and EMU will host the 2025 conference, which will be expanded to include students from Harrisonburg area universities and community members. EMU last hosted the ICPF conference in February 2020 with the theme of “Nothing About Us Without Us.”
The theme for the 2025 ICPF is “Building Solidarity: from Turtle Island to Palestine.” Many students are involved in organizations like Mennonite Action and the Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery — organizations working to build Palestine and Indigenous solidarities. The conference will feature keynote speakers from Mennonite Action and the Coalition, along with workshops led by knowledgeable practitioners in solidarity-based organizing.
The 2025 ICPF will be a gathering that gives participants an opportunity to learn about the movements, about organizing and movement building and make connections with each other to do it on their home campus and in their community.
