ACC sets UVA-Clemson game for noon kickoff: Seems to presume loss to Louisville

The ACC has set the kickoff window for Virginia’s Week 7 game at Clemson on Saturday, Oct. 19, for a noon ET start, with the game to be broadcast on the ACC Network.

This seems to be a presumption that UVA (4-1, 2-0 ACC) are going to lose at home this coming Saturday with Louisville (3-2, 1-1 ACC).

That one is set for the 3:30 p.m. kickoff window on the ACC Network.

Vegas has Louisville as a 7- to 7.5-point favorite with a consensus 54.5-point over-under, which projects to a 31-24 game.

That was the final when the two teams met last season in Louisville.

The then-#11 Cardinals rallied from a 24-17 fourth-quarter deficit last November for that 31-24 win.

That was a different Louisville team, though.

That UL group was 8-1 going in, went on to an appearance in the ACC Championship Game, and lost to Southern Cal in the Holiday Bowl to finish 10-4.

This year’s Louisville team is 3-2, with blowout wins over Austin Peay and Jacksonville State before its one meaningful W, over Georgia Tech, ahead of back-to-back one-score losses to Notre Dame and SMU.

Clemson (4-1, 3-0 ACC), ranked 10th, is at Wake Forest (2-3, 1-1 ACC) this weekend.
