A Blacksburg woman is dead following an accident as police attempted to recover a stolen vehicle she was driving on Saturday night.
Khasi Nikole Chrisley, 33, died at the hospital following a three-vehicle crash in Christiansburg at 9:58 p.m.
According to Virginia State Police, Chrisley was found in a 2005 Toyota Camry that had reportedly been stolen in a carjacking on West Main Street in Radford at 9:07 p.m.
Radford Police located the suspect and the stolen car at Sonic, also on West Main Street, a short time later.
Officers attempted to stop Chrisley, and she allegedly fled in the stolen vehicle north on Route 11 into the Town of Christiansburg. Chrisley struck a 2024 Mitsubishi in the rear and then hit a 2006 Volkswagen head on Route 11 at Mink Street in Christiansburg, according to VSP.
Chrisley was not wearing her seatbelt and was transported to Carilion New River Valley Medical Center where she later died.
Two people were flown to the hospital due to serious injuries sustained in the accident. No update is available on their condition.
The Virginia State Police crash reconstruction team assisted with the accident.
The accident remains under investigation.
