Cynthia Schneider, CEO of the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber (TVRC), has been honored as the 2024 Chamber Executive of the Year by the Virginia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (VACCE).
She received the prestigious recognition during the Hob Nob in the Valley event on August 22, where Cary Nelson, Chair of the TVRC Board, presented the award on behalf of VACCE in front of hundreds of regional professionals. The award was announced at the VACCE Awards Dinner on the same evening in Bristol.
The Chamber Executive of the Year award celebrates exceptional performance in Chamber of Commerce management across Virginia and is awarded to an individual who demonstrates leadership within their chamber and community. The selection process considers outstanding achievements, effectiveness in overcoming challenges, professionalism, program development and execution, financial management and a strong presence in the community.
Schneider has served as CEO of the Chamber since June 2019.
“Cynthia is an outstanding leader who has created a successful, vibrant, and growing Chamber for our community. She has rebuilt the Chamber’s credibility and has been a stabilizing force, ensuring the organization remains focused on representing our local businesses and community,” Nelson said in Schneider’s nomination letter.
VACCE is an alliance of Chamber of Commerce professionals from across Virginia who work together to improve the business climate in Virginia while developing ways to enhance the quality of life in the communities they serve. VACCE is the only organization in the state dedicated to the growth and development of Chamber professionals.
