Two terms I learned in school stick with me to this day.
Ethnocentrism. Mrs. Weekley made us learn that one in sociology class in 12th grade. The basic concept: Judging other cultures by the standards of your own.
Case in point: Today is the first day of Ramadan. Me, I don’t get it, not eating during the day, but it would be ethnocentric of me to say, Muslims are crazy to not eat during the day during Ramadan.
