The Wayne Theatre Alliance joins with Craig and Nikki Nargi, owners of the Hermitage Hill Farm and Stable, for the annual celebration of the Kentucky Derby on May 1 from 4 to 8 p.m.

The Hermitage Hill Farm and Stable is a new entry in the expanding agritourism attractions in Augusta County. Located on Hermitage Hill, the farm and stable complex is an ideal location for the viewing of the running of the 136th annual Kentucky Derby and enjoying the green mountains ringing the Shenandoah Valley.

Guests will enjoy ambling in their finery through the grounds while they watch an equestrian demonstration. Later they can visit the stables before moving into the great room and partaking of the food and drink provided by South River Grill. At the appointed hour they will watch the Derby on big screen televisions provided by Aarons. A final activity will be the judging of the Derby hats with prizes provided by Hampton Inn, South River Grill and L’Idee Spa. The evening will end with dancing to the music of Rhythm Road.

The cost of the event is $75 with a portion a tax-deductible contribution to the Wayne Theatre Alliance.

Reservations are available by calling the Wayne Theatre Alliance, 540.943.9999.
