Join the City of Harrisonburg in honoring our nation’s heroes at the annual Veterans Parade on Sunday, Nov. 10.
We are pleased to announce that Living Waters Farm Initiative will be this year’s Grand Marshal. Living Waters Farm works to support veterans suffering from PTSD through pastoral counseling, peer support, and therapeutic farming. Learn more about their mission and vision at www.livingwatersfarm.net
The parade will begin at 2:00pm at the Rockingham County Administration Building, 20 East Gay Street, and travels south on Main Street to City Hall, 409 South Main Street. This year’s parade is presented by Steven Toyota.
Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance invites all veterans, veterans groups, clubs, civic organizations, companies, and individuals to participate in the parade. All parade entries must display a patriotic theme and honor veterans in a special way. To enter, visit www.downtownharrisonburg.org/veterans-parade to access the parade entry form.
The entry fee is $25.00 for commercial entries. Veterans, veterans groups, and non-profit and government entities are exempt from this fee. Entry forms can be emailed to [email protected] or mailed to HDR, Attn: Veterans Parade, 217 S. Liberty St. #204, Harrisonburg, VA 22801. Entries are due by November 4, 2019.
