staunton newStaci Falls has announced her intent to run for the position of Clerk of the Circuit Court for the City of Staunton.

Falls lives in Staunton with her husband, Jason, and children.  She is a member of Bridge Christian Church and has lived in the Staunton/Augusta County area most of her life.

Falls has worked at the Staunton Circuit Court Clerk’s Office for the past five years and has worked in the court system for 12 years.  She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and minor in Criminal Justice from James Madison University and a Master of Arts degree from Liberty University in Human Services with a Specialization in Executive Leadership.

Falls worked at the Augusta County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office as a paralegal for several years.  During that time, she worked closely with the Victim Witness Program and served as liaison between the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office and the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office.  She has also worked for a Public Defender’s Office, volunteered at a Child Advocacy Center, and served in the children’s ministry at her church.

In 2015, Falls was accepted to Liberty University School of Law; however, chose to remain at the clerk’s office to prepare for the opportunity to someday run for the clerk’s position.  Since that time, she has completed approximately 150 hours of training offered by the Office of the Executive Secretary of the Virginia Supreme Court, the Library of Virginia, and the Virginia Circuit Court Clerk’s Association.
