#13 Virginia led by as many as eight in the first half, but Florida State almost literally couldn’t miss in the second half en route to a 69-62 win on Sunday.
UVA (13-4, 2-3 ACC) led 28-25 at the half, but the Seminoles (12-5, 2-3 ACC) opened the second half on a 9-2 scoring run to take a four-point lead.
The ‘Noles made 10 of their first 13 from the field to start the second half and led by as many as eight as Virginia’s big three – Malcolm Brogdon, Anthony Gill and London Perrantes – never could get on track.
Brogdon was just 4-of-17 from the field, and Perrantes, despite a team-high 19 points, was just 4-of-13 from the floor.
Gill was saddled by foul trouble, and in just 26 minutes scored 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field and just four rebounds.
Virginia coach Tony Bennett used his fifth different starting lineup in a row as he tried to figure out how to break the Cavs out of this sudden slump.
Since starting the season 12-1, UVA has lost three of its last four, all on the road.

- Devon Hall made his second career start (first of the season) and had six points and matched a season-high with 26 minutes
