The news that Dish Network is not going to carry WrestleMania 30 should not surprise anybody. Dish has been making rumblings in this direction since WWE announced the launch of WWE Network earlier this year.
“Please note that WWE is not willing to adjust PPV costs to satellite/cable companies, which is unfair to their customers,” Dish said in a statement today. “DISH needs to re-focus efforts to support partners that better serve DISH customers and other satellite/cable companies, including DirecTV, have also expressed they may no longer provide WWE PPV events in the future.”
Actually, DirecTV is carrying WrestleMania. There is no word from other cable and satellite providers regarding plans post-WM 30.
