Sixteenth-ranked TCU manhandled Virginia 30-14 in college-football action Saturday.

The Horned Frogs (1-0) led 14-0 at the half and 30-0 midway through the fourth quarter before UVa. quarterback Jameel Sewell connected with Javaris Brown on a 56-yard TD pass with 4:14 to go and later hooked up with Tim Smith on a 26-yard scoring pass to make the score look respectable.

It was the second straight loss for the Cavs (0-2), who opened last week with a 26-14 home defeat to I-AA William & Mary.

Virginia mustered just 177 yards of total offense and seven first downs on the afternoon, including a combined 25 yards of total offense in the second and third quarters.

TCU rolled up 380 yards on offense, including 203 yards on the ground.
