UVa.-St. John’s set for 11 a.m. Sunday

uva-logo-new2No. 1 seed Virginia (22-11) will host No. 5 seed St. John’s (17-15) in the second round of the NIT on Sunday, March 24. Tipoff at John Paul Jones Arena is set for 11 a.m. ET.

The Virginia-St. John’s game will be televised on ESPN and broadcast on the Virginia Sports Radio Network.

Tickets for Virginia’s second-round NIT game go on sale online at VirginiaSports.com at 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 21. Reserved tickets are $10 each in both the upper and lower levels of John Paul Jones Arena. Seating in sections 103 and 111-114 will be reserved for purchase by Virginia Athletics Foundation donors until Thursday, March 21 at 5 p.m.

Additionally, the lower areas of sections 101-105 and the lower level bleachers (sections 116-119) are reserved for UVa students. Seating in all other sections is available to be purchased by the public. Remaining unsold inventory in sections 103 and 111-114 will be available to the public for purchase after 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 21.

Fans may also purchase tickets through the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office by telephone and in person. The ticket office is located in Bryant Hall at Scott Stadium and open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Telephone purchases can be made by calling 800-542-UVA1 (8821) or locally at 434-924-UVA1 (8821).

Parking will be free of charge and available on a first-come, first served basis in the John Paul Jones Arena, University Hall and McCue Center parking lots and the Emmet/Ivy Parking Garage. The John Paul Jones Arena Garage will be reserved for permit holders. The University Hall and John Paul Jones Arena parking lots are also available for baseball fans attending Sunday’s game against NC State that starts at 1 p.m.

Should Virginia advance in the NIT and host a quarterfinal game, tickets will be sold for $10 each and available for purchase shortly after the date for the quarterfinal game is determined.

UVa students may claim tickets for the NIT second-round home game at John Paul Jones Arena online at UVAShots.com beginning Thursday, March 21 at 9 a.m. There is not a ticket charge for UVa students to attend NIT home games at John Paul Jones Arena.

Tickets to away games in the NIT will not be available for sale through the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office.
