The Virginia women’s basketball team will play on the road at James Madison for its quarterfinal Women’s National Invitation Tournament contest on Sunday (March 25) at 2 p.m.

Virginia (25-10) is playing in the WNIT quarterfinals for the fifth time in school history (1980, 2006, 2007, 2011, 2012). The Cavaliers advanced to the semifinals in 1980.

James Madison (27-7 record) defeated South Florida on Friday night, 72-45, to advance to the round of eight.

Sunday’s winner would face the winner of Syracuse vs. Toledo at a date, time and venue to be determined.

Sunday’s game will air locally on WINA 1070 AM and that audio broadcast, along with live statistics, can be accessed at VirginiaSports.com.
