A Harrisonburg man is in custody on murder charges following a Monday-night shooting in Grottoes that left a woman dead. John Franklin Myers, 44, of 3210 S. Attorney-general candidate Steve Shannon today launched a website providing parents with tips to protect their children from sexual predators, including learning the secret codes that kids use when speaking to those predators on the Internet. Creigh Deeds’ campaign for governor released a new TV ad Tuesday morning that is currently airing on broadcast television in Northern Virginia.
