Gov. Bob McDonnell on Monday announced a leadership contribution of $100,000 to the Virginia Public Safety Foundation from Motorola Solutions Foundation, benefiting construction of the Commonwealth Public Safety Memorial. The memorial will be Virginia’s monument to nearly 750 public safety heroes killed in the line of duty and the 165,000 public safety officers serving Virginians every day.
