The non-profit League of Conservation Voters (LCV) helps Americans sort out the good guys from the bad when it comes to the environmental track records of candidates in important high-level races across the country. Besides endorsing specific candidates, the group also keeps a running “dirty dozen” list of the politicians with the worst environmental records. Meanwhile, the group’s LCV Action Fund is a related political action fund that can channel funding to the candidates it supports.

One-day exhibit features work by Daniel Rossi and Dymphna de Wild

An innovative art installation, Concatenation, will be hosted in an unlikely site certain to challenge the traditional art-going experience. Virginia-based Italian artist Daniel Rossi and Dutch artist Dymphna de Wild will create site-specific installations in the transformed barn on historic Cobble Hill Farm in Staunton. The barn will be converted into a one-of-a-kind art experience for one day only, Sunday, October 28th from 3-8 p.m.

Saturday’s surprising day of results among the top teams led to nine teams earning first-place votes on Monday, but Eastern Washington (5-1) was still a decisive No. 1 over James Madison, which moved up two spots to No. 2 after beating William & Mary in double overtime. The Dukes (5-1) gained 42 first- place votes and 3,831 points.
