Three biology professors at Washington and Lee University have won a $100,000 grant to investigate the link between obesity and infertility in women.

Three biology professors at Washington and Lee University have won a $100,000 grant to investigate the link between obesity and infertility in women.

Author and scholar Bruce Holsinger, professor of English at the University of Virginia, will give a Glasgow reading at Washington and Lee University on Monday.

Phillip A. Goff, associate professor of social psychology at UCLA, will be the keynote speaker at the Implicit Bias Mini-Conference at Washington and Lee University.

Washington and Lee University has received a $5,000 grant from the Avon Foundation for Women through its Speak Out Against Domestic Violence initiative.

Charles Ogletree, the Jesse Climenko Professor of Law at Harvard University, will give the Mudd Distinguished Lecture in Ethics for 2014-2015 at Washington and Lee University. Ogletree’s talk will be Wednesday, Oct. 1.

Bill Nye, scientist, engineer, comedian, author and inventor will speak at Washington and Lee University on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Keller Theater, Lenfest Center for the Arts.

Dr. Tanya Pergola, an author, inspirational speaker, community development orchestrator, healing safari guide, and yoga and meditation instructor, will speak at Washington and Lee University on Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 7:30 p.m. in Stackhouse Theater in Elrod Commons.

Ann Morning, associate professor of sociology at New York University, will give a lecture at Washington and Lee University on Monday, Sept. 22, at 4:30 p.m. in Stackhouse Theater, Elrod Commons.

Nathaniel Deutsch, professor of history at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he is also co-director of the Center for Jewish Studies, will give a lecture at Washington and Lee University on Monday.
