Lights out: Lynchburg Hillcats lose at Myrtle Beach

With one out in the bottom of the seventh inning the Lynchburg Hillcats and Myrtle Beach Pelicans were tied 3-3. Suddenly, almost every stadium light pointed at the field cut out due to a blown transformer. The game went in to a 15 minute delay. When play resumed the Pelicans took the lead and held on the rest of the way eventually beating the Hillcats 6-3.

Lynchburg Hillcats rally for 4-3 win at Myrtle Beach

The comeback ‘Cats were at it again tonight erasing a 3-0 deficit early to win 4-3 over the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. Daniel Castro scored on a groundout in the seventh to give the Hillcats their only lead of the night. The lead lasted the rest of the way as Ryan Kelly pitched the final three innings scoreless for Lynchburg.
