The Virginia Department of Transportation has temporarily lowered the work-zone speed limit to 45 miles an hour on westbound Interstate 64 in Rockbridge County where contractors are rehabilitating bridges over the Maury River.

The Staunton District will have approximately 500 pieces of equipment deployed throughout the district. Safety Service Patrol coverage will be expanded on Interstate 81 to include Shenandoah and Augusta counties for this storm.
