Road conditions in the Shenandoah Valley and Alleghany Highlands are steadily improving as of mid-day Monday. The region received up to 18 inches of snow, with the highest totals in Alleghany, Rockbridge, Bath and Augusta counties.

VDOT has entered into a partnership with the Piedmont Environmental Council to replace aging stream crossing infrastructure in Rappahannock County with updated designs to help the waterways and wildlife.
