At 8 p.m. Friday the bridge on Route 250 (Ivy Road) over Little Ivy Creek near Ivy west of Charlottesville will close to traffic.

The Virginia Department of Transportation is performing bridge work at Greasy Run on Route 613 (Bentonville Road) in Warren County. Route 613 is closed at the bridge until August 10.

VDOT is scheduled to make roadway improvements to a two-mile section of Interstate 66 in Warren County starting Monday, July 9.

Replacement of the Route 11 bridge over Cedar Creek at the Shenandoah-Warren County line is expected to open to two-way traffic on Monday, July 9.

The following is a list of highway work that may affect traffic in the Staunton District during the coming weeks. The Staunton District consists of 11 counties from the Alleghany Highlands to the northern Shenandoah Valley.

The Virginia Department of Transportation has postponed the closure of Route 649 (Proffit Road) at the bridge over the Rivanna River in Albemarle County until July 16-22.

The right lane of southbound Interstate 81 has reopened in Rockbridge County. Crews have finished a hazardous-material removal operation near mile marker 204, about a mile south of exit 205 (Raphine).

Western Albemarle commuters will face a challenge for two weeks in July when the Virginia Department of Transportation closes the bridge over Little Ivy Creek near Ivy west of Charlottesville.
