The following is a list of highway work that may affect traffic in the Staunton District during the coming weeks. The Staunton District consists of 11 counties from the Alleghany Highlands to the northern Shenandoah Valley.
VDOT invites the public to attend a design public hearing for the proposed project to construct a roundabout at the intersection of Route 240 (Three Notched Road), Route 250 (Rockfish Gap Turnpike) and Route 680 (Browns Gap Turnpike) in Albemarle County.
Part of Route 622 (Judy Lane) in Page County is scheduled to be closed from Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, for railroad crossing maintenance.
The following highway work is scheduled, weather permitting, in the Culpeper District during the upcoming week. Traffic movements may be restricted and speed limits reduced in work zones.
Durant Road in Covington will remain closed between Willis Avenue and Thacker Avenue through Friday, June 28. For driver safety, this closure has been in place since early March as contractors cut back a steep rock slope along the roadway.
