Back in the ‘70s, Ed Rogerville would have been on enemy territory at Fishburne Military School. A 1976 graduate of Augusta Military Academy, Rogerville wouldn’t have guessed back then that he would be walking the grounds of the one military school in Augusta County that would survive the decade.

House Republicans nominate Speaker Bill Howell for eighth term

The Virginia House of Delegates Republican Caucus unanimously elected its leadership team at an organizational meeting Sunday and nominated Delegate William J. Howell (R-Stafford) for an eighth term as Speaker. Majority Leader Kirk Cox (R-Colonial Heights), Majority Caucus Chairman Tim Hugo (R-Fairfax) and Majority Whip Jackson Miller (R-Manassas) were each also elected unanimously.

Warner (D-VA) and a bipartisan group of Senate colleagues held a press conference in the U.S. Capitol to announce the introduction of the Veterans Health Care Staffing Improvement Act, bipartisan legislation to make commonsense changes in staffing policies at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and improve veterans care at VA health care facilities.
