The Richmond Flying Squirrels (34-32) first lost the lead, and eventually their sixth straight ballgame, 3-1, to the Reading Fightins (27-39) in front of a sellout crowd of 9,560 at The Diamond on Saturday night.

Down to their final strike, the Reading Fightins (26-39) battled back for a 10-inning, 3-1, victory over the Richmond Flying Squirrels (34-31) in front of 9,349 at The Diamond on Friday night. The loss extended the Squirrels’ losing-skid to five games.

Right-hander Taylor Jordan and the Harrisburg Senators (35-31) blew past the Richmond Flying Squirrels (34-30), 9-0, on Thursday night at Metro Bank Park. Jordan turned in a complete-game shutout, and also scored runs as Harrisburg pulled into a first-place tie by sweeping the Squirrels in a the three-game series.

The Harrisburg Senators (34-31) quieted the Richmond Flying Squirrels (34-29) offense for the second straight night, and claimed a, 2-1, victory on Wednesday night at Metro Bank Park. The Squirrels have managed just one run in the series (18 innings), and have lost three in a row. Harrisburg also laid claim to the series with the win.

Eastern League ERA leader Jack Snodgrass turned in eight more sensational innings, but it wasn’t enough as the Harrisburg Senators (33-31) blanked the Richmond Flying Squirrels (34-28), 1-0, on Tuesday night at Metro Bank Park. Snodgrass (5-2) was credited with the first complete game of the season for the Squirrels, but was also saddled with his second loss.

The Trenton Thunder (33-30) walked off with a, 3-2, victory over the Richmond Flying Squirrels (34-27) on an RBI double from Tyler Austin in the bottom of the ninth inning on Sunday afternoon at ARM & HAMMER Park.

The Richmond Flying Squirrels (34-26) clubbed five home runs and swept a doubleheader from the Trenton Thunder (32-30) on Saturday night at ARM & HAMMER Park. Richmond took game one, 3-2, and game two, 7-3. With the victories, the Squirrels also claim the three-game series and vault into first place in the Western Division by a game and a half.

The Richmond Flying Squirrels issued a franchise record 13 walks as they dropped the finale of a three-game set, 9-4, to the New Britain Rock Cats on Thursday.

In a rematch of left-handers Jack Snodrass and Pat Dean, the Richmond Flying Squirrels (32-25) flipped the script and defeated the New Britain Rock Cats (28-31), 3-2, at The Diamond on Wednesday night
