A new 30-second TV spot airing in Hampton Roads marks the debut of the Terry McAuliffe gubernatorial campaign on the airwaves. Titled “Listened,” the spot highlights ideas for strengthening the Hampton Roads economy as told by residents of the Southeast region. You can watch the video here.

Former Democratic National Committee chairman Terry McAuliffe announced his candidacy for the Democratic Party gubernatorial nomination today in a video posted on his TerryMcAuliffe.com website. The McAuliffe campaign also announced details of an announcement tour that will begin Wednesday with events in Hampton Roads, RIchmond and Charlottesville. The tour includes a stop in Harrisonburg Thursday morning.

Looking back on it, wouldn’t it have made sense to have started doing something about our transportation-infrastructure limitations, I don’t know, maybe a few years ago when the economy was relatively purring and the dollars were available to address the traffic jams in NoVa and Hampton Roads and the clogged arteries inhibiting commerce statewide?
