Bridgewater College is recognizing academic achievement during A Celebration of the Arts, Scholarship, Performance, Innovation and Research Excellence.

Bridgewater College marked its observance of Founder’s Day on Tuesday and presented awards to three faculty members for their excellence in teaching and scholarship, two members of the campus police and safety department for their sacrifice and one student for academic excellence.

Former college football player-turned-entrepreneur Nisan Trotter will speak at Bridgewater College on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Cole Hall during the College’s celebration of Division III Athletics Week.

Bridgewater College will break ground this summer on its Rebecca Quad project, creating a new outdoor gathering area adjacent to the Kline Campus Center and the campus mall.

Bridgewater College’s Symphonic Band, under the direction of Dr. Christine Carrillo, will perform on Sunday, March 27, at 3 p.m. in Cole Hall on the College’s campus.

Cathedra will be performing at 7 p.m. Friday, March 25, in the Concert Hall at Carter Center for Worship and Music on the College’s campus.

Photojournalist Lynsey Addario will present an endowed lecture on Tuesday at 5 p.m., hosted virtually on Zoom by Bridgewater College.

The Bridgewater College Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Christine Carrillo, will perform at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, in Cole Hall on the College’s campus.

The Bridgewater Academic and Social Experience program, run by the College’s Office of Academic Support and Disability Services, fosters and encourages independence for students.

The New Orchestra of Washington will present a lyceum concert at Bridgewater College on Friday, March 18, at 7 p.m. in the Concert Hall of the Carter Center for Worship and Music.
