Peter Monticup and Steve Pittella have long loved the romance of the days of the classic sideshows and traveling carnivals with their display of the exotic and unusual. Together they have fashioned a new performance that lets today’s audience relive the wonders of yesterday. Their Carnival of Wonder will feature the amazing physical feats of the Pretzel Girl and Miss Electra along with Steve’s fire-eating, bed of nails, and walk of broken glass and Peter’s masterful illusions.
Peter says the Carnival of Wonders “will take you through an evening of fantasy and fun with its fast moving acts that are always changing tempo and pace.” He adds, “You will see things you just won’t believe.” It is in his mind a “show to make the old feel young and the young feel foolish!”
Steve describes himself as a self-made geek who grew up in the shadow of Coney Island’s sideshows. “Peter and I make a good team,” he says, “Because we have covered the entire sideshow experience as performers.” Steve is the self-proclaimed evidence of a misspent youth in magic and illusion and sideshow feats.
The Carnival of Wonders is meant for adult audiences. Although the performance is suitable for all ages, this particular evening features feats that are primarily for those 18 and over. Seating is limited.
