The James Madison lacrosse team is ranked ninth in Lacrosse Magazine’s preseason rankings.

Defending national champion Maryland is the top team in the 20-team rankings and is one of five JMU opponents in the Top 20. The Dukes, who play at Maryland on March 26, also face number seven Virginia (March 23), 13th-ranked Loyola (March 19), number 16 Towson (April 15), 18th-ranked Princeton (March 16) and number 20 Hofstra (April 24).

Rankings were compiled by the magazine’s staff with consultation from college coaches.
