Virginia led by 10 early in the fourth quarter, then held off a Stanford rally that cut the lead to one in the final 90 seconds, to post a Quad 1 road win, 75-69, on Sunday.

That Q1 win is the first of the season for the ‘Hoos (18-8, 10-5 ACC, NET: 37), which, obviously, important for the NCAA Tournament resume.

Eight of the makes at the free-throw line came in the final 32 seconds, after the Virginia defense forced Stanford misses.

Stanford (16-11, 5-9 ACC, NET: 43) missed its last eight shots from the field.
