The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Shenandoah Valley and Central Virginia in effect from 1 a.m. Tuesday to 1 a.m. Wednesday.
The forecast has a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain in the overnight hours tonight and continuing throughout the day Tuesday.
Temperatures are expected to remain near or just below freezing throughout the overnight hours into late Tuesday night.
