The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Augusta County, Staunton and Waynesboro through midnight tonight.
The forecast is calling for snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches. The snow is expected to begin between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The heaviest snowfall is forecast between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Snow is expected to end by late evening.

A $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the return of property taken in a residential burglary in Augusta County that came to be known when a high school student said he had silver coins stolen off a school bus.
The Route 704 (Cecil Wampler Road) bridge over Interstate 81 in Rockingham County is scheduled to be closed for up to a week beginning Thursday, Aug. 20.
