WINNER: AFP announces expansion

Guess we couldn’t let the first full day of our seventh year of operations go without adding more fun to our plates.

Beginning in January, our flagship print publication, The New Dominion Magazine, will be published monthly.

“Response to the magazine the past year and a half has been great,” publisher Crystal Graham said.

The magazine is currently published quarterly, with the next issue due out on newsstands in July.

New editions of the magazine will be on newsstands the first of every month beginning with the January 2009 issue.

PUSH: Shakeup with Finance Committee?

Details are still coming together on this, but I’m hearing that there might be issues with the makeup of the committee appointed by new mayor Tim Williams.

Fueling the talk is the placement of an item on Monday’s Waynesboro City Council work-session agenda to discuss the committee and its mission.

Don’t have much more than that right now, unfortunately.

TODAY’S HOT OR NOT: The Williams sisters make Wimbledon final

They hate playing each other. Remember that.

Neither ends up putting out the kind of effort that they do to beat somebody else senseless.

Always good in theory, these matches tend to dud up more than become instant classics.

(That said, Go, Venus!)
