A crash on Friday afternoon in Fauquier County killed a 60-year-old Winchester man, according to Virginia State Police.

Frankie L. Fincham, 60, died at the scene. A medical emergency is considered a factor in the crash.

The crash occurred at 12:10 p.m. on Winchester Road, a tenth of a mile south of Route 55.

Fincham’s Dodge Ram was traveling south on Route 17 when it crossed the center line and collided head on with a northbound Ford F-150.

The driver of the Ford, a 45-year-old unidentified male from Silver Spring, Md., was not injured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
