william and maryWilliam and Mary head football coach Jimmye Laycock has announced the Tribe’s 2016 signing class, which includes 13 student-athletes who have signed National Letters of Intent this morning.

“We are very excited about this year’s group of student-athletes,” remarked Tribe Head Coach Jimmye Laycock. “This is a well-rounded class with a great deal of athleticism. The staff worked extremely hard to address our needs and found talent from New York to Florida. Additionally, it is always exciting to bring in young men from the Tidewater area. I am looking forward to seeing the impact this class will have in the years to come.”

The incoming class is comprised of players from six states. In addition to four signees from Virginia, the class also includes players from North Carolina (4), New Jersey (2), Florida (1), Maryland (1) and New York (1).

The group consists of three defensive ends, two linebackers, two defensive backs, two running backs, two wide receivers, a quarterback and an offensive lineman.

Complete bio information for all 13 signees is available below.

The Tribe’s annual Green & Gold Spring Game is scheduled for April 16 at Zable Stadium. In a recent change, W&M will now open the 2016 season at NC State on Thursday, Sept. 1 (instead of Saturday, Sept. 3, as originally announced).

This year’s home opener on Sept. 17 vs. Norfolk State will be fans’ first chance to see the renovations currently underway at Zable Stadium.
