Where did Waynesboro get its name?
A new publication being put out by the Waynesboro Historical Commission tell you everything you want to know on the subject.
The publication – Waynesboro Virginia and General Anthony Wayne – is available at the Plumb House Museum, the Waynesboro city tourism office and at the Waynesboro Heritage Museum.
The booklets feature the story of “Mad” Anthony Wayne, as the Revolutionary War general was known in his day and time, and also include a supplement on the General Wayne Hotel.
The booklets are available for free.
