Waynesboro resident will engage Shenandoah Valley residents in the fight to end Alzheimer’s

DesireeWhite_AnnieDiggs2The Central and Western Virginia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association has announced the addition of two new employees: Desiree White of Waynesboro and Annie Diggs of Buckingham County.

Desiree White, Development Manager, comes to the Association with human and social services experience, most recently as Outreach Manager at Care Is There.  White will manage the Walks to End Alzheimer’s in Greater Augusta and Harrisonburg.  She will also be responsible for coordinating Chapter-wide initiatives that engage employees and employers in the fight against Alzheimer’s.

Annie Diggs, Operations Manager comes to the Association with a wealth of office management and accounting experience. She will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of the donor database, accounts receivable, accounts payable and managing the office/operational functions of the Chapter

“I am pleased to welcome these talented professionals to our Association and this cause,” says Sue Friedman, President and CEO of the chapter. “Both Desiree and Annie bring expertise and experience that will be great assets to the successful accomplishment of our very ambitious strategic plan goals.  With the increasing prevalence of Alzheimer’s disease, we know we need to expand our programs and services to reach and engage more residents of the Shenandoah Valley.  We can now aggressively move forward.”
