Chris Graham

waynesboroA letter sent by the Waynesboro Republican Committee to city residents this week is endorsing Sonny Smith and Alex Stevens in next week’s elections.

Smith is a candidate for the Ward A seat on Waynesboro City Council. Tim Williams, the current Ward A member, announced earlier this year that he would not run for re-election.

Smith is challenged by Elzena Anderson.

Stevens is a candidate for the At Large seat on the Waynesboro School Board, challenging At Large member Shelly Laurenzo.

Stevens is the son-in-law of City Councilman Frank Lucente, who is retiring this year.
