Waynesboro Generals lose at home to Woodstock, 13-6

wlogo2A pair of six-run innings turned an early Waynesboro Generals lead into an easy 13-6 win for Woodstock on Thursday night.

Waynesboro led 3-1 after getting an RBI double in the first from Tyler Bocock (sophomore, Stetson) and an RBI double from Thomas Stallings (sophomore, VMI) and a bases-loaded walk to Jeff Conley (junior, Alderson-Broaddus) in the third.

Woodstock got six runs in the fourth to chase Generals starting pitcher Tyler Fox (freshman, Nebraska-Omaha), and tacked on six more in a sloppy sixth inning that featured a botched pickoff and three errors, all with two outs.

Terrance Dedrick (junior, Auburn) had three hits to improve his team-leading batting average to .379.

Waynesboro travels to Strasburg on Friday night before returning on Saturday for a game with Charles Town that will start a four-game homestand.

First pitch for Saturday’s game is at 7 p.m.
