Waynesboro Farmer’s Market debuts May 2

wb farmers marketThe Waynesboro Farmer’s Market opens for the 2015 season on Saturday, May 2, at 9 a.m.

The Farmer’s Market is located at the Waynesboro Pavilion in Constitution Park in Downtown Waynesboro.

The market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday through October.

The market has been supporting local agriculture and local businesses since 2008 with the mission of inspiring and nurturing a healthy community by building a local, sustainable and organic food economy in a vibrant, educational marketplace.

Specifically, WFM aims to:

  • Foster direct relationships between our local producers and community members.
  • Serve as an incubator for small businesses and entrepreneurial growth in the area.
  • Improve public health and nutrition through community education access to local produce.
  • Act as a community gathering space.
  • Support the preservation of local farmland and promote sustainability.
