Waynesboro Dems to elect new chair

The Waynesboro Democratic Committee has called a special meeting for Thursday, May 22, at 7 p.m. to elect a new committee chair.

Augusta Free Press editor Chris Graham is the only announced candidate for the chairmanship.

The special meeting will be held at the Waynesboro Public Library, Room A.

City residents who are already members of the committee or want to become members can take part in the special meeting. Those who are not members currently must sign an oath stating that he/she is a resident of Waynesboro, a registered voter, believes in the principles of the Democratic Party and will not support anyone running against a Democrat in the ensuing election.
