The Wayne Theatre Alliance is holding a press event on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 1 p.m. at the Gateway Theatre, 329 W. Main St., Waynesboro, to highlight the upcoming first-ever over-the-air broadcast of “River City Radio Hour.”
The “Radio Hour,” now in its seventh season, will debut on WSVA-550AM on Sunday, Sept. 29, at 11 a.m.
“This is a big step for the Wayne Theatre Alliance from a programming perspective. It’s also symbolic for us to finally have the ‘Radio Hour’ on over-the-air radio,” said Clair Myers, the executive director of the Wayne Theatre Alliance and the creator of “River City Radio Hour.”
Myers will be on hand for the press event on Sept. 25 along with representatives of the WTA Board of Directors and WSVA.
Brief remarks from each will be followed by a press availability with individual members of the speaker list.
