washington nationalsThe Washington Nationals rallied from a pair of early deficits to defeat the Chicago White Sox, 10-5, on Tuesday.

The White Sox (29-29) led 2-0 and 5-2 before an Anthony Rendon two-run homer (6) in the fourth cut the margin to 5-4 in the fourth.

A two-run Bryce Harper double in the fifth put Washington on top, 6-5, and then the Nats piled on four more in the sixth, on a two-run double by Michael A. Taylor, a sac fly by Harper and an RBI walk by Wilson Ramos.

Blake Treinen (4-1, 2.39 ERA) got the win with three scoreless innings of relief for the Nationals (35-23), who have a three and a half game lead on the New York Mets (31-26) in the National League East.

Rendon (.267/.354/.419) was 3-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored for Washington. Jayson Werth (.226/.280/.421) was 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored.

Harper (.249/.409/.520) was 1-for-4 with three RBI.

Starter Joe Ross (5-4, 2.92 ERA) got a no-decision, giving up five runs on four hits in four innings of work, striking out five and walking four.
